Dwayne Johnson Hopes to Go Back to WWE This Summer

It doesn’t look like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be guest hosting WWE Raw before Wrestlemania.

The former WWE champion was actually missed his shot at a recent appearance due to scheduling conflicts with his new movie, Tooth Fairy.

“The plan was for me to be the (Monday Night RAW) host (this past Monday),” Johnson told Tim Baines of the Ottawa Sun. “But then I had to go to Mexico (to promote the movie). The idea of me going back to WWE is intriguing and exciting. I grew up in the business.”

But just because he missed this past Monday’s booking doesn’t mean that he won’t be back in the future.

“Will I go back? Absolutely,” he said. “The goal is to go back and do something special. I talked to Vince (McMahon) a couple of months ago and we’re trying to come up with something.

“After I wrap (filming of) Faster, maybe in the summer I can go back.”

Perhaps WWE could use him in a push for SummerSlam in August.

Tooth Fairy is scheduled to be released on January 22.
