The Fast And The Furious 6 (Fast 6), the 6th installment of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, is set to start filming this month in the U.K. We already updated you through Dwayne Johnson of the Fast 6 movie gearing up for filming where it was confirmed of previous cast members making a return to the automotive action-packed sequel. Reportedly, Rihanna will join the cast as a Villain.
Rihanna is making her big screen debut in the movie Battleship. Already, one of music’s baddest girls, Rihanna is on a non-stop path to big screen star-status. With such an action packed movie franchise, we are sure to see RiRi bring a new level of automotive bliss in the upcoming Fast 6 film especially acting as a villain. We just want to know what type of cars she will be driving, or in the case of Fast and Furious 6, what type of car she will be racing.
With both Michelle Rodriguez and “Haywire” ass-kicker Gina Carano signing on to the project over the past couple of weeks, Justin Lin’s “Fast Six” is heating up in advance of its summer production start - and one person who clearly can’t wait to jump back into the fray is star Dwayne Johnson, who will be reprising his role as DSS agent Luke Hobbs in the follow-up.
“From a character standpoint, I love that character, Hobbs,” Johnson told me during our recent sit-down at the “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” junket. “That guy’s a bad-ass, walking, talking beast of a guy who’s got a lot of unfinished business.”
You can check out the rest of what Johnson had to say about the sequel in the video above!
“Fast Six” (official title TBD) is slated for release on May 24, 2013.

Last summer’s Fast Five exceeded financial and critical expectations, and Universal is reteaming with director Justin Lin for the next film in the franchise. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and other cast members are set to reprise their roles, and a new addition has now been revealed.
Luke Evans (Immortals, The Three Musketeers) has now entered into negotiations to join the large ensemble cast. According to Variety.com, “plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say it would involve the crew heading overseas to work on a heist job. Evans would play the leader of another crew trying to pull off the same job.” He can next be seen in Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated film The Hobbit which hits theaters this December.
The Fast and the Furious franchise follows former police detective Brian Connor and street racer Dominic Toretto as they attempt to evade law enforcement while participating in high stakes races and heists around the country. Dwayne Johnson was the latest addition to the franchise in the role of federal agent Luke Hobbs. Fast and Furious 6 is currently slated for theatrical release on May 24, 2013.
“The actor/wrestler, who is also known as The Rock, has signed on to star in the film adaptation of John Paul Russ’ comic book series about a guide to hunt monsters, beasts and undead creatures.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will likely be a monster hunter in his upcoming movie. Deadline reported that the actor and professional wrestler has been tapped to star in a live action adventure movie called “The Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide“. However, it is still unclear which character will the “Fast Five” actor tackle.
Based on John Paul Russ’ comic book miniseries, the movie is about “a comprehensive guide to hunt monsters, the undead and unnatural beasts, and survive the confrontations.” Simon Kinberg, who also worked on “X-Men: First Class“, will produce through his Genre Films banner, but no writer and director has been attached to the film just yet.
Johnson is currently filming “G.I. Joe: Retaliation“, in which he stars as badass Roadblock. His upcoming projects include Ric Roman Waugh’s action thriller “Snitch“, and Scott Derrickson’s biblical retelling “Goliath“. He will next be seen as Josh Hutcherson‘s stepfather in adventurous film, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island“, which also stars Vanessa Hudgens.

At the very end of Fast Five (2011) movie, there’s a teaser showing hint of Fast and Furious 6. Just before the Fast Five credit scene.
Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is given a file by an agent with a recent photo of Leticia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) which die in Fast & Furious 4, and saying “Do you believe in ghosts?”, then the scene continued by credits.
Fast and Furious 6 Updates
Updates on Fast & Furious 6:
In April 2011, it was confirmed that Fast Five scribe Chris Morgan had already begun work on a script for a potential sixth film at the behest of Universal Pictures. It was also confirmed that Universal intended to transition the series from street-racing action into a series of heist films with car chases in the vein of The Italian Job (1969) and The French Connection (1971) with Fast Five being the transitional movie.
Universal chairman Adam Fogelson said:
“The question putting Fast Five and Fast Six together for us was: Can we take it out of being a pure car culture movie and into being a true action franchise in the spirit of those great heist films made 10 or 15 years ago?”
Neal Moritz, as the producer of Fast Five explains:
“In Vin (Diesel) and my mind we already know what the sixth movie is, we’ve already been talking about it. Vin and I have had numerous conversations about what that might be. And we’re starting to get serious about it right now. We just finished the movie like 4 or 5 weeks ago and we just needed a break, and now we’re gonna start focusing on that.”
Fast & Furious Story Prediction
Story probably will centered around Hobbs’s hunter for Dominic Toretto & Brian O’Conner. Although they haven’t begun tackling the script for that one just yet, Johnson is reportedly up for it and Moritz claims they’ll be pushing forward with it soon.
Release Date:
The sixth film in the franchise is tentatively scheduled for a May 24, 2013.
Cast
As for the cast, would be pretty much starred by the original movie actor like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez (rumored) and Dwayne Johnson as their hunter. Justin Lin exclusively reported by Indiewire next project will be directing a sixth entry to the Fast and Furious series.

In Fast Five, which has made close to $600 million at the worldwide box office, Dominic (Vin Diesel), Brian (Paul Walker) and their crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent (Dwayne Johnson).
It’s official, what “The Rock” is cooking next summer will be the next installment of blockbuster movie series G.I. Joe. Reliable sources tell us that it’s a done deal.
After a slew of comedic performances, Dwayne Johnson is returning to his bread and butter, action films. It makes sense; his last film Faster and Fast Five was a box office smash hit.
Johnson will play Roadblock, a big, bad-ass soldier in the G.I. Joe canon. Jon Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never) is set to direct the 3D action adventure currently titled G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.
Channing Tatum is the only star from the original that has officially signed so far. The other original cast members Ray Park and Lee Byung-hun are expected to return to the roles of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, respectively.
