Fast & Furious 6 Behind the scenes update

‘Fast and Furious 6′: Behind The Scenes

Here is a look at Fast and Furious 6, behind the scenes.

Two new recruits have joined the ranks of Vin Diesel and friends. Luke Evans  (The Hobbit) and Gina Carano (Haywire) are the new additions  behind the wheel as the Fast and The Furious franchise enters its sixth  film.

In between takes on a cold production set a tad outside London Luke  Evans said, “It was quite weird, to be honest, because they’ve known each  other for 10 years.”

Luke Evans expands on his experience with the crew:

“As always happens on big movies, they forget to introduce you. … I’m  handcuffed, with a bloody face, and it’s the whole team, and my first  introduction is to shake hands with a handcuff. I had to insult a lot of them,  get dragged down the stairs by Dwayne (Johnson), get punched in the face by Paul  (Walker), and then eyeballed by Vin. This is the movies for you, you never get  the normal introduction you would in any other job. And I think they’re probably  enjoying the fact there’s a new boy, different to them, bringing a new energy,  another dynamic.”

Gina Carano said she had her own anxieties about Fast  and Furious 6:

“I was nervous, like I get with everybody. I’m used to watching these movies,  so in the first take I had to remind myself, I’m in this. I had to do this look  over my shoulder, and all I could think of was Zoolander, I had to get that out  of my head. But it’s not easy to be that vulnerable in a whole room of people.  This is the second movie I’ve gotten (after taking the lead in ‘Haywire’), so I take it really  seriously, but what this business helps you also do is laugh at yourself a  little.”

Gina Carano plays Reilly, a member of the US Police force alongside Dwayne  Johnson. Reilly has some nice twists to her character, and may be involved in  the disappearance of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) in Fast and Furious. That last  part is just speculation for now, of course. She is a martial arts fighter who  is actually holding her skills back for this film.

Luke Evans plays the villain Owen Shaw, a military hijacker who sells his  ill-begotten wares on the black market. In preparation for the role, Luke Evans  asked a lot of his military friends what was involved in acting the part.

Both newcomers took the roles seriously enough to learn the part they needed  to fill and try to pull it off as down to earth as possible.

Gina Carano: Hay, Wire You Joining ‘Fast & Furious 6′?

The Fast and the Furious series has both churned out and roped insome of the most adrenal, action-oriented stars in Hollywood: Vin DieselPaul WalkerMichelle RodriguezJohn Ireland. But topping the lot of them is the newest addition to the series: someone who isn’t just adept at playing a badass action hero, someone who actually is a badass action hero: Gina Carano, former MMA fighter and star of Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire. Carano is in talks to star in Fast & Furious 6.

Brushing past the logical paradox that should have caused director Justin Lin to explode from overexposure to Tokyo drifts, this new film will reunite the director with series fixtures Diesel and Walker and Fast Fiveaddition Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. All three will be reviving their previous roles; there is no word as of yet on what sort of character Carano will play.

Is this a good career move for Carano? Despite its stellar cast and director, Haywire did not really find an audience. The Fast and the Furious movies have managed to maintain a pretty ample fan base since the series’ inception in 2001, so this should be a good launching point for Carano’s acting . But does signing onto this sort of movie insure that she’ll be glued strictly to the heavy action genre from here on out? And if so, is that even a bad thing?

Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is given a file by an agent with a recent photo of Leticia Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) which die in Fast & Furious 4, and saying “Do you believe in ghosts?”, then the scene continued by credits.

Fast and Furious 6 Updates

Updates on Fast & Furious 6:

In April 2011, it was confirmed that Fast Five scribe Chris Morgan had already begun work on a script for a potential sixth film at the behest of Universal Pictures. It was also confirmed that Universal intended to transition the series from street-racing action into a series of heist films with car chases in the vein of The Italian Job (1969) and The French Connection (1971) with Fast Five being the transitional movie.

Universal chairman Adam Fogelson said:
“The question putting Fast Five and Fast Six together for us was: Can we take it out of being a pure car culture movie and into being a true action franchise in the spirit of those great heist films made 10 or 15 years ago?”

Neal Moritz, as the producer of Fast Five explains:
“In Vin (Diesel) and my mind we already know what the sixth movie is, we’ve already been talking about it. Vin and I have had numerous conversations about what that might be. And we’re starting to get serious about it right now. We just finished the movie like 4 or 5 weeks ago and we just needed a break, and now we’re gonna start focusing on that.”

Fast & Furious Story Prediction
Story probably will centered around Hobbs’s hunter for Dominic Toretto & Brian O’Conner. Although they haven’t begun tackling the script for that one just yet, Johnson is reportedly up for it and Moritz claims they’ll be pushing forward with it soon.

Release Date:
The sixth film in the franchise is tentatively scheduled for a May 24, 2013.

Cast
As for the cast, would be pretty much starred by the original movie actor like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez (rumored) and Dwayne Johnson as their hunter. Justin Lin exclusively reported by Indiewire next project will be directing a sixth entry to the Fast and Furious series.
