The three weeks of shooting that left the production team of “Fast Five ” on the island will be intense, they are pure action scenes and the outcome of the plot .
This week will be shot in a suburb of the capital where they will recreate an ambush in which the main actors, Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto ), Paul Walker (Brian O’Conner ) and Dwayne Johnson (Detective Johnson), will be involved in a sequence shots.
But on Tuesday and Wednesday will be several of the most impressive scenes of the tape in the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge , which is why closed .
El Nuevo Día sources indicated that the sequences include high-speed racing , a helicopter will fly over the area , explosions and cars thrown over the bridge into the water.
It will be the shooting complex , security is strict so that onlookers are not allowed in the area.
In the coming weeks will face sequences Toretto group with the law , led by Johnson. At that point enter the Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida , who will play a major South American drug lord .
This morning ends the second week and a half of filming in the country.
The last two days , filming was at night.
From Thursday to Friday, the production team was recreating auto racing Muñoz Rivera Avenue Hato Rey. Last night, the production moved to Hill Street Santurce, to film other scenes involving Diesel and Walker.
While the first production unit during the week remained quite visible sites , the second unit was set aside in Ceiba.
There, specialists and technical special effects sequences were taking car crashes and cars crashing against the roof , the story says was stolen by Toretto and O’Conner of a bank in Brazil .
That vault has already traveled parts of the capital , since last week dragged to other vehicles Diego Avenue in Santurce , after the alleged robbery.
El Nuevo Día Sources also indicated that the overall experience of making the movie in Puerto Rico, has been very gratifying for Universal Studios and its team of professionals.
In fact say they are so satisfied with the work they have done the local technicians who will be a group of them to Georgia, where other scenes make the film when they finish here.
“Fast Five ” will hit theaters the second week of June 2011.

THE ROCK in San Juan
Here’s The Rock in San Juan, Puerto Rico at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Vin was also spotted earlier in the day, in a white beater, naturally , and black jeans, leaving his hotel accompanied by what looks to be an Ed Hardy hybrid Jersey Shore bodyguard. No doubt. Presumably then they are shooting there.

Fast and Furious: Fast Five poster released
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past almost 11 years then you have absolutely heard of the Fast and Furious. After all with four movies carrying the same title not knowing would be absolutely impossible. Well, now Universal Pictures is preparing the fifthquel in this movie series. It will be called, Fast and Furious: Fast Five (duh!) and will be released in 2011.
We are happy to report that Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will return in this fifth film along with returning stars Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Sung Kang. Shoot, even Dwayne Johnson is joining in on the fun. Apparently the studio has already closed the deals with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, director Justin Lin, and producer Neal Moritz to return. In this new series Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) will act as “fugitives being pursued by legendary lawmen.” Pretty much the same as most of the previous Fast and Furious films.

Puerto Rico Represents Brazil For FAST FIVE
Back in March, Vin Diesel said that the next Fast & Furious installment, FAST FIVE will be set in Brazil.. seems like now Brazil is just the location in the story, not the location of production because according to a source at comingoon, via Puerto Rico Newspaper El Nuevo Dia, FAST FIVE will shoot in Puerto Rico from July to August. Much about that island, the streets and the neighborhoods, will be transformed to look like the streets, neighborhoods and offices in Brazil.
It doesn’t state why they take this direction, I can only assume either to save costs, or tax incentives or maybe they don’t find it safe to shoot in Brazil, if you know anything, feel free to chime in.
Chris Morgan wrote the screenplay for FAST FIVE. Justin Lin will return to direct and the story is about Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) as fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen
Also starring Dwayne Johnson, TJ Hassan, Tego Calderon and Don Omar.
FAST FIVE opens June 10th, 2011
Might Dwayne Johnson Get Fast and/or Furious With Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in FAST FIVE?
by Brendan Bettinger Posted: May 6th, 2010 at 7:58 pm
With a summer 2011 release date, the fifth entry in the Fast and the Furious franchise is revving up the engine under the moniker Fast Five: indeed, the series lost its fury, but it may have gained a Dwayne Johnson. Deadline reports that Johnson (née The Rock) is in talks with the folks over at Universal about starring alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the sequel; his character would be “on the right side of the law.” (I think that’s code for “policeman”.)
Johnson will be seen this November as a character named “Driver” in the action-drama Faster (read Steve’s set report here), which is perhaps indicative of his gearhead mindset at the moment. It’s not often the fifth film in a once fledgling franchise lures in such star power. But the 2009 Fast and Furious did rev things up again by bringing back Diesel and Walker to the prosperous tune of $353 million worldwide. If Johnson is looking to get back into action flicks after his career detour in such family fare as The Tooth Fairy, it may make sense to get on board with Five, a known high-octane commodity. Let’s wait and see if this signing comes to pass.
