JOHNSON’S MOTHER CANCER-FREE

DWAYNE JOHNSON has something to celebrate in the new year (10) – his mother has recently been declared cancer-free.
The wrestler-turned actor’s mum Ata was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer less than a year ago, and immediately began rigorous treatment for the disease.
On Thursday night (14Jan10), Johnson appeared on late night U.S. TV programme The Jay Leno Show, and announced his mother had beaten the odds and triumphed after the health scare.
He said, “This past summer (09) my mom was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer, a later stage of cancer. She fought. She had chemotherapy, radiation. She fought like a warrior. And I’m happy to tell you, I’m happy to tell you all, she is cancer free.”
